FEBRUARY!

February

Left home on 29th January to catch the Portsmouth to Santander Ferry and the long drive to Denia…

Ferry trip inspired my first February hexie, but because the journey took 4 days (with the little dog stops to cater for), I was then a little behind with my hexie project…

We started a Yoga class during our first week in Spain, trying to get/keep mobile whilst here, and this was the inspiration for the 2nd February hexie…

February… the month of …LUV….

We are told that the weather here this month has been unusually wet and cold….hence the 4th hexie…

Finished the month with a trip to the local theatre for a live streamed Royal Ballet performance of ‘The Winters Tale’ from ROH, Covent Garden…. Inspiration for my final hexie for February….sadly because of bad weather the transmission was interrupted, but what we saw was fantastic!

February…..already!

I can’t believe we are already into February. We were busy in January, catching up with friends and relatives and packing up for our return to Spain..I have decided that 2018 will be a Hexie year and I am attempting to create one 3″ hand stitched Hexie per week as a stitched diary of my year. We are into the sixth week of the year and considering what we have achieved in areas other than stitching, I am only a little behind on my goal…..watch this space(and gallery)……

Resolutions…

Trying to get to grips with this site… not easy!

Trying to get my resolutions published so that this year I might just keep them….nothing like going public to keep you on the straight and narrow….

So here goes…. 2013!

  1. Organize my creative space.
  2. Reduce craft purchases (gasp!). I’ll use up items in my stash instead.
  3. No more UFOs (unfinished objects). I would like to finish as many projects as I start, so I can reduce my pile of UFOs.  (Oooooh this is a hard one!)
  4. Create a craft to-do list; then schedule time to craft, so these projects don’t get set aside time and time again.(Wishful thinking)
  5. Craft with friends more often.
  6. Spend less time reading blogs and tutorials to allow more time to actually create.
